I like her music but her and Angela Bassett's acting is way out for me! I too have had my share of clowns and was a battered wife at the ripe old age of 18 which was more than depressing since I witnessed my father shoot my mother and kill her at the age of 7. So even though allowing anyone to treat you with disrespect and dishonor is way wrong, sometimes the circumstances to leave isn't as easy or less complicated as one may think. Again...I have not seen the movie yet so hopefully I'll get to it this week while Taylor is in school and can chime back with authority!

Comment on Thoughts For Colored Girls (and All Girls and Boys)

Let's discuss after you see the movie. I can speak on some authority because I have entertained more than my fair share of clowns and crazy situations! Commentary is less about human frailty and more about how I personally received some of the scenes.

Comment on Thoughts For Colored Girls (and All Girls and Boys)

I have yet to see the movie and that is on purpose so I will have to get back with this as soon as I do. However, we are also quick to judge or rebuke folks when we really have not actually walked in their shoes!

Comment on Tara, You and Sookie Need To Raise Your Standards, Really

Damn it must be ME. This is a call for ALL of us to raise our standards no? Sookie can't pentrate her man's thoughts (connect?) but he gets the benefit of sustaining himself thru her. Tara is so (unconsciously) dysfunctional that she keeps attracting and engaging in inappropriate relationships; I mean who among us hasn't loved a part-time dog. LOL It's the romantic melodrama that keeps us coming back - to watch the show I mean.

Comment on What About Your Friends

This article was much appreciated and very much needed at this particular time in my life. Not to mention that a real friend of mine and I were speaking on this topic today; we've concluded the same thing. LOL!!! Too Funny!!!

Comment on The New Economy: Freeloaders, Male Gold-Diggers and the Balanced Equation

Typical feminazi tripe.
